6th Grade read books with 1st grade this week. They paired up (some in trios) and got into the holiday spirit by reading Christmas books! Both 1st and 6th graders assured us they are excited and ready for Christmas!
On Monday, the eighth grade built gingerbread houses with Ms. O'Donnell's class. Frosting, gumdrops, and candy canes made for a fun and sugar-filled morning. What a way to get in the Christmas spirit! It is so wonderful to see the innate patience and kindness in our students as they work with the younger grades.
After mass on Friday, the eighth grade visited Ms. Garber's preschool class. They read Christmas stories and decorated reindeer with their buddies. Our visit ended with some caroling as the eighth graders sang "The First Noel" for the younger students.
The seventh graders concluded their unit on "A Christmas Carol" by creating their own metaphors to show Scrooge's character development. Nice work, seventh grade!
On Tuesday, our seventh and eighth graders visited the Metropolis Performing Arts Center to see the play “A Christmas Carol”. It certainly put us in the holiday spirit!
The middle school finished their day at Dank with a Christmas party after lunch. We enjoyed special treats and board games to wrap up 2015!
Christmas Break: Begins today! Classes will resume on Monday, January 4th.
