This week our seventh and eighth graders visited the lower school for fun activities. On Tuesday, the seventh and eighth taught a lesson to first grade on sportsmanship. They played a game of sportsmanship charades and participated in a team building game. On Friday, the eighth graders visited the PreK and made elephant puppets to learn the letter "E". The group then ventured outside for a walk which ended in Fr. Larry's garden.
In language arts, the sixth graders started their new unit featuring Bud, Not Buddy. They analyzed photographs from the Great Depression to better understand setting. In math they practiced multiplying and estimating decimals.
Sixth grade will finally get Prayer Partners on Tuesday. They have been waiting very patiently!
Seventh and Eighth grade will hear from a number of high schools on Monday, September 28th. Please do not wear gym uniforms and plan to miss most classes. Eighth grade will see Ms. Denten in the morning and seventh grade will have Ms. Nolan in the morning. Please plan accordingly.
Sixth grade mass is next Friday. All are welcome to come support our newest members of the Dank Haus!
Monday, October 5th, we will have our IB Assessment night from 7:00-7:30pm in the music room. We will explain IB grading and what you can expect on progress reports and report cards this year. Progress reports will be sent home October 7th.
Note from Ms. Sagert: gym uniforms MUST be worn on gym days. Starting next week students will receive a hole punch for not being in a gym uniform.
