10.3 // Curriculum Night (Back to School Night)
6th graders worked together to create concept maps on how weathering, erosion, deposition, and other terms are related. They made connections to show their understanding of the material and it helped them study for an upcoming quiz! In Math, the 7th graders are reviewing rational number operations. This includes negative, positive, fraction, and decimal operations. We have been able to play a couple rounds of "Lyneo" to help us practice! Congratulations to all the winners! 7th Grade has been learning about different immigrant groups who have come to America. This week, we studied the Irish immigrants in the 1840s whose "Push Factor" was the Potato Famine. Students interpreted primary source documents about the time period, their journey, and their experience in America. Then, they wrote "Letters Home" to Ireland that they acted out in class this week.
