Learning grammar can be fun! Sixth grade students created original carnival-like games based on their assigned part of speech. The games reinforced student knowledge of grammar and were made from found/recycled objects. The best part of the project was playing the student-created games on the last day of class. 7th grade put their skills to the test in the table design challenge in science. The challenge was to build a table that was at least 6 inches tall and could hold the weight of one textbook. We had some very creative designs and a couple that could even held more than one textbook! We love seeing all the teamwork and communication involved in completing this task! The future 2019-22 Junior High came together as one for the first time this week! The 5th, 6th and 7th graders went to Feed My Starving Children to pack food for hungry children all over the world. Later, enjoyed the wonderful weather by forming teams and competing in relay races and a huge game of knockout. It was a great glimpse of what next year will be! Congratulations Kindergarten! The 6th graders went to watch the kindergarten graduation this week to watch their prayer partners graduate! They even made signs to cheer them all on. Way to go kindergarteners! The last day of school was filled with fun and games! After mass, we headed to the Dank Haus for one last time. There we watched movies, colored pictures, and played card games. With popcorn and candy thrown in there too, there was something for everyone! Next we all walked to Winnemac Park to have a picnic lunch and for some outdoor games. Everyone participated in pick up games of softball, baseball, and kickball. It was the perfect day to end an awesome school year! The JH Team would like to wish you all a happy and safe summer!
