Please remember to save the date for our IB Grading Night on Monday, October 5! We have moved the location to Dank Haus. Feel free to explore our classrooms to get a taste of the Dank experience. We will begin our grading presentation promptly at 7:00 PM in Ms. Denten's classroom.
Cross-curricular learning...
Sixth grade concluded their unit of study on ancient civilizations in Mesopotamia. Over the past few weeks, they designed and mapped city-states in the Fertile Crescent for I&S class. They also mastered the art of writing in cuneiform, the Mesopotamian method of writing, with Mr. O. We are very impressed with their creativity and commitment!
Sixth grade also spent an afternoon with Ms. Kreisel's first grade class. There, they modeled good friendship practices, shared a story, and made crafts.
Seventh grade honed their skills as historians by working with primary and secondary sources in I&S. As we continue our study of immigration through the ages, the students will be creating their own museum exhibit highlighting their own family's immigration story.
Admissions representatives from Catholic high schools in the Chicago area visited Dank Haus on Monday to introduce our students to their many high school options. If parents have any questions or would like any information about specific high schools, please contact Ms. Denten directly.
Happy weekend,
Ms. Denten & Mrs. Prinzivalli
PS -- Hope to see you all at Craft & Grape this weekend!
