We had our KABOOM! Playground Ribbon Cutting Day on Tuesday -- Kathryn McGovern, Student Council President, was selected to cut the ribbon. We are so grateful and excited for all the memories yet to be made on this new equipment, and thank all who were involved. Seventh grade engaged in their third round of literature circles this week. Students have done a great job of delving deep into the themes of alienation and belonging as they read the memoirs of Holocaust survivors 8th grade celebrated the end of their Stock Market Program with a capstone field trip downtown, held at the Goodman Theater. Students listened to a career panel & participated in a mock investor’s meeting. Our school ended up with just over $3500 in their portfolio, after beginning with $3000, outperforming the S&P 500! We then had some fun at a few downtown landmarks-the Bean and Maggie Daley park! The junior high had a spectacular time celebrating the arts this past Thursday evening. Their performance of "Summer Camp" was amazing and was a true reflection of all of their hard work and preparation. Congrats to all!! Looking ahead...
