2.18 // No School ~ President’s Day
6th graders went live reporting major weather events as they occurred in history. We learned all about blizzards, typhoons, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, and more! They reported on how and why the weather event occurred, the damage it caused, and any lasting problems it left behind. They did a great job! Proportions and percents practice! 7th graders presented their discoveries about how discount, tax, and shipping fees can impact the price of an object. Then we moved to thinking about percent change. Check out some of the posters below that are filled with mathematical proportions! Let’s celebrate! These 7th graders combined their tickets, that they earned from their positive behavior, to get the pizza party reward! Congratulations and thank you for all the great things you do in our school! Looking Ahead...
